Welfare Association

"I heard quiet voices, whispering and laughing. Some were crying, others were angry or agitated…from afar, I imagined I heard a girl saying, ‘Mamma! I cannot walk any more. I’m tired”.

Vladimir Tamari

The Sutasoma Trust supports the Welfare Association in partnership with the National Society for Rehabilitation.

The Welfare Association provides urgently needed community based rehabilitation services to a hundred and fifty children with disabilities in Palestine and the Middle East.

The Welfare Association’s primary aim is to improve the children’s health and enable increased interaction with their family and friends for an improved quality of life.

The Association also provides urgently needed supplies, such as assistive devices, medical disposables/medications and high-nutrient milk.

Awareness of issues relating to disability are raised through family counseling sessions.
